Engines Outlet Warranty Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
At Engines Outlet, we stand behind the quality and performance of our used engines and used transmissions. Our warranty is intended to provide coverage for eligible internal components and performance issues when the product has been properly installed, maintained, and operated according to the requirements outlined below.
Please read this Warranty Policy carefully before purchasing or installing an engine or transmission. Failure to follow the required installation and maintenance procedures may void the warranty.
Used Engine Warranty
The Engines Outlet used engine warranty applies primarily to the engine cylinder head and block assembly and covers the performance of eligible internal engine components during the applicable warranty period.
The warranty does not cover external accessories, components, labor, installation expenses, or cosmetic conditions unless specifically stated in writing on the applicable invoice or warranty documentation.

The following components and accessories are excluded from warranty coverage and should be replaced or transferred from the original engine where applicable:

The above components may need to be replaced or transferred from the customer's original engine before installation. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all required components are properly installed and compatible with the replacement engine.
Cosmetic Condition
The warranty covers the performance and eligible mechanical operation of the engine. It does not cover cosmetic or appearance-related conditions.
Because used engines are previously installed components, they may have normal signs of prior use, including:
- Surface rust
- Scratches
- Dents
- Paint wear
- Discoloration
- Normal surface corrosion
These conditions do not by themselves constitute a warranty defect.
Labor Costs
Labor costs are not covered under the Engines Outlet warranty. This includes engine removal, installation, diagnostic labor, mechanic charges, shop fees, and other labor associated with replacement or repair.
Requirements to Validate the Engine Warranty
To maintain warranty coverage, the following installation procedures must be completed before or during installation of the replacement engine:
- Drain the existing engine oil and refill the engine with the manufacturer-recommended oil at the proper level.
- Replace the oil filter.
- Replace the air filter.
- Replace the fuel filter where applicable.
- Replace the valve cover gasket.
- Replace required engine gaskets.
- Replace the oil pan gasket.
- Replace the rear main seal.
- Replace front and rear seals and camshaft seals where applicable.
- Inspect and replace timing gears, timing chains, timing belts, tensioners, and related components as required.
- Replace the thermostat and applicable gaskets.
- Inspect applicable water and oil sending units and pumps.
- Flush the cooling system and refill it to the manufacturer's recommended level.
- Install new spark plugs and wires where applicable.
- Install new belts and hoses.
Customers should retain receipts and documentation showing that the required maintenance and replacement procedures were completed. Failure to provide appropriate documentation may affect warranty eligibility.
Professional Installation
Engines Outlet strongly recommends that all engines be installed by a qualified mechanic or professional automotive repair facility familiar with engine replacement procedures.
Incorrect installation, improper lubrication, inadequate cooling, incorrect wiring, improper adjustment, or failure to transfer required components from the original engine may result in damage that is not covered by the warranty.
Used Transmission Warranty
Engines Outlet warrants that an eligible used transmission will shift properly and that its covered gears and bearings will be in good working condition during the applicable warranty period.
The warranty applies to the eligible internal performance of the transmission. External components, installation-related issues, maintenance items, and labor are not covered unless specifically stated in writing.
Transmission Components and Services Not Covered
The transmission warranty does not cover labor or damage resulting from improper installation, incorrect fluid, improper adjustment, failure to flush the system, or failure to complete the required installation procedures.
Customers are responsible for properly preparing the vehicle and transmission before operation.
Requirements to Validate the Transmission Warranty
To maintain warranty coverage, the following procedures must be completed before or during transmission installation:
- Replace all applicable transmission seals.
- Install a new transmission filter kit.
- Flush and inspect the transmission cooling lines.
- Properly align and fully engage the torque converter into the transmission front pump.
- Fill the transmission with the manufacturer-specified transmission fluid.
- Clear all transmission computer codes before starting or operating the vehicle.
- Adjust the throttle position sensor cable where applicable.
Failure to complete these procedures may result in transmission damage and may void the warranty.
Standard Warranty Period
Unless a different warranty period is specifically stated in writing on the applicable invoice, warranty certificate, or order documentation, the standard warranty period for eligible parts is 30 days from the date of delivery.
The warranty period may vary for certain products or orders when a different warranty period is expressly provided in writing.
What the Warranty Covers
Subject to the terms and conditions of this policy, the warranty may cover eligible internal components and mechanical performance of the purchased engine or transmission.
For an engine, covered components may include eligible internal components such as the cylinder head and block assembly.
For a transmission, covered performance may include proper shifting and eligible internal gears and bearings.
Coverage is subject to proper installation, maintenance, operation, and compliance with all warranty requirements.

Any unauthorized modification, alteration, disassembly, rebuilding, performance tuning, or other modification of the engine or transmission may void the warranty.
The product should be installed and operated according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
Warranty Claim Procedure
If you believe that an eligible engine or transmission has developed a warranty-related problem, contact Engines Outlet as soon as the problem is discovered.
Customers should not continue operating a vehicle when continued operation could cause additional damage.

- Vehicle VIN
- Engine or transmission details
- Installation information
- Repair facility information
- Diagnostic report
- Photographs or videos of the suspected problem

Warranty Inspection
Engines Outlet may require an inspection or diagnostic evaluation before approving a warranty claim.
The product may need to be returned for inspection before a replacement, repair, credit, or other warranty remedy is authorized.
Customers should not disassemble, modify, repair, or alter the engine or transmission without prior written authorization from Engines Outlet. Unauthorized disassembly or alteration may void warranty coverage.
Replacement Under Warranty
If a warranty claim is approved, Engines Outlet may, at its discretion and subject to availability, provide a replacement engine or transmission of comparable type and quality.
If an equivalent replacement is unavailable, Engines Outlet may provide another remedy permitted under the applicable order terms and warranty documentation.
Warranty replacement is subject to product availability and verification that the failure qualifies for coverage.
Refunds
A refund is not automatically issued when a warranty claim is submitted.
Where an approved warranty replacement is unavailable, a refund or other appropriate remedy may be considered in accordance with the applicable order terms and warranty documentation.

If Engines Outlet authorizes a return or replacement, the engine or transmission must be returned in the condition required by the return authorization.
The returned part may be inspected to determine whether the claimed failure is covered under the warranty.
If the returned product has been disassembled, modified, damaged, altered, or otherwise changed without written authorization, the warranty claim may be denied.
Core Charges
Where a core charge applies, the customer must return the applicable core according to the instructions provided by Engines Outlet.
The returned core may be subject to inspection and applicable core-return requirements.
Shipping Damage
Customers should inspect shipments promptly after delivery.
If visible shipping damage is discovered, customers should document the damage with photographs and contact Engines Outlet promptly so that the appropriate carrier or shipping claim process can be followed.
Warranty Does Not Cover Cosmetic Damage
Used engines and transmissions are previously used automotive components. Normal cosmetic conditions such as surface rust, scratches, dents, paint wear, or discoloration do not necessarily indicate a mechanical defect and are not covered by this warranty.
Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for confirming that the selected engine or transmission is appropriate for the vehicle before installation.
Customers should provide accurate vehicle information, including year, make, model, engine size, drivetrain information, VIN, engine code, transmission type, and other information requested by Engines Outlet.
Compatibility should be confirmed before installation whenever possible.
Warranty Documentation
Warranty claims may require valid purchase documentation and evidence that the required installation and maintenance procedures were completed.
Receipts from automotive parts stores, repair facilities, or other appropriate suppliers may be requested to verify the required maintenance and installation procedures.
Important Notice
This warranty is intended to apply to eligible Engines Outlet products purchased under the applicable order documentation. If the invoice, warranty certificate, product listing, or written warranty supplied with the product contains terms that differ from this general policy, the specific written warranty applicable to that purchase will control to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
